Mad Science of Central Virginia is collecting backpacks to donate to our students at this year's Back-to-School Kickoff, and you can help!
Mad Science will be hosting a backpack and school supplies drive next Friday, July 18, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 11551 Nuckols Road, Suite J, in Glen Allen. You can either donate a new backpack (15-inch backpacks for elementary students or 17-inch backpacks for secondary students), or you can donate school supplies to fill all these bags with!
The goal is for each backpack to include:
2 composition books or spiral notebooks
2 plastic folders
A pack of dry erase markers
Crayola crayons (24 pack)
Crayola markers (10 pack)
A pencil bag
4 pencils
A pencil sharpener
2 glue sticks
Scissors (safe for child use)
All of these supplies will be given out to our awesome students at the
Back-to-School Kickoff on July 31 at the Henrico Sports & Events Center, so help us kick off the new school year strong with some supplies and smiles next Friday at Mad Science!
Can't make it to the backpack drive? You can still drop off supplies to donate at The Oak Avenue Complex (15 S. Oak Ave. in Highland Springs) Monday through Thursday. Questions? Email
