Nominator Mallory Miller said,
"She deserves a Yay of the Day for going above and beyond to help our kindergartener, Crew, with his transition to kindergarten. From the moment we met with her, she was incredibly kind, welcoming, and solution-oriented. She listened to our concerns, and made us feel like we were truly a team. She even took the time to send us pictures throughout the day to check in and let us know how he was doing. Her thoughtfulness and compassion have meant so much to our family during such a big transition (even in week 1), and we’re grateful to have her supporting Crew and all of Pinchbeck! She not only helped comfort Crew when he was having a difficult time, but also gave him tools he could use throughout the day to help regulate his emotions and feel more comfortable and confident at school."
Nominator Teresa OConnor said,
"She was a great comfort to my grandson today. He's a new kindergartner, and after day 1 his teacher had to go out with a family emergency. He has been struggling with this new change. She has been a new connection for him!! She has checked on him throughout the day. Hoping Monday will be better because of her attentiveness and care."
Thank you for all you do, Skylar, to make a positive difference and move HCPS forward!
