YAY CHARLES GWALTNEY! Charles Gwaltney, a bus driver for the division, is today's Yay of the Day honoree! Superintendent Amy Cashwell honored him recently at Jackson Davis Elementary School!

YAYWORTHY:

Nominator Lynne Fernette said,

"It’s my sons first ever school experience, much less bus experience, and he loves Mr. Charlie because of how attentive he’s made a point to be to all the children but especially the youngest ones on the bus rides. He not only made my baby’s first experience comfortable and enjoyable but as a mama going through this for the first time too and having my baby not in my vehicle, he’s calmed my mama heart 100% and I’m so thankful for employees like that because all we want as parents is to feel comfortable sending our kids off. My boy makes it a point to wait at the bottom of the steps each afternoon before walking up to come inside to holler out and wave 'bye, Mr. Charlie, see you tomorrow again!'

"He makes a positive impact every afternoon bus ride with my boy."

Thank you for all you do, Charles, to make a positive difference and move HCPS forward!
