Be a hero a Henrico Schools student needs. Mentor with Henrico HEROES!
Henrico HEROES — Helpers Engaged in Reaching Our Evolving Students — has helped Henrico County Public Schools students reach their potential through one-on-one relationships and community support since 2009, and the program is seeking mentors for the 2026-27 school year.
Henrico HEROES mentors support students at more than 40 elementary, middle and high schools. They meet with their student once a week for 30-45 minutes through April and participate in a programwide kickoff and end-of-year celebration.
Becoming a Henrico HEROES mentor is easy. Mentors complete an application, undergo a background check and attend a two-hour training session.
