YAYWORTHY:
Nominator Ellen Bohon said,
"Tamara Reeves sees the potential in every student before they even see it in themselves. She doesn't just assist, she advocates. She has an intuitive ability to meet every student exactly where they are — whether they need a cheerleader, a steady hand or a quiet moment of reassessment. In a virtual adapted physical education environment where sensory needs and physical challenges vary wildly, she leads with love. She treats every milestone, no matter how small, like a major victory for the student. Her patience is limitless. Tamara is constantly finding creative ways to modify activities so that every student, regardless of ability, can participate fully. By bridging the gap between students, staff and the wider school community, her presence make the school a warmer, more welcoming place for everyone she encounters."
Nominator Whitney Buchanan said,
"She believes in her students, and brings genuine compassion and care to the classroom every day. We are so lucky to have her at HVA!"
Nominator Ali Jones said,
"Ms. Reeves exemplifies what it means to support, love and uplift students in a virtual world. Ms. Reeves is truly the cream of the crop. She is the most supportive, helpful and kind assistant anyone could have the privilege of working with. Even through a screen, she demonstrates an unwavering love for our students. Whether she’s jumping into a breakout room at just the right moment, dropping encouraging notes in the chat, or sharing helpful links and resources to support student understanding, she does it all with grace and heart. Ms. Reeves is attentive to every detail of the virtual classroom. She helps students navigate links, assignments and technology hurdles with incredible patience. Her presence makes our Teams sessions more engaging and fun, bringing warmth and positivity into every call. It’s no surprise that both students and staff love her dearly. Her willingness to help, her joyful spirit and her deep commitment to our school community shine through in everything she does, whether she’s troubleshooting audio issues, cheering students on in the chat, or staying after a call to make sure a child feels confident and cared for."
Thank you for all you do, Tamara Reeves, to make a positive difference and move HCPS forward!
