Yay of the Day

YAY DANNA RAMOS! Danna Ramos, a bus driver with Transportation, is today's "Yay of the Day" honoree! Superintendent Amy Cashwell honored her recently at Pinchbeck Elementary.

YAYWORTHY:

Nominator Brittany Johnson said,

"She does far more than drive a bus — she creates a space where children feel safe, known, and cared for. She starts and ends their school day with positivity and encouragement, helping build confidence and belonging. Her consistency, compassion, and dedication reflect the very best of HCPS and truly embody the spirit of community and student-focused care.

"A specific example of a time she made a positive impact is when she made sure my daughter never stepped off the bus unless I was there to meet her. From kindergarten through fifth grade, she has been a steady, reassuring presence in our lives. As a parent, there is nothing more important than knowing your child is safe — and she has given me that peace of mind every single school day. She greets the children with warmth, calls them by name year after year, and even reminds parents about half days and days off so no child is ever left waiting or confused. Those thoughtful actions may seem small, but to families like ours, they mean everything."

Thank you for all you do, Danna Ramos, to make a positive difference and move HCPS forward!
