YAY BARBARA MYERS! Barbara Myers, an instructional assistant at Douglas S. Freeman High School, is today's "Yay of the Day" honoree! Superintendent Amy Cashwell honored her recently at Freeman.

Nominator Bailly Suhr said,
"She is an incredibly hardworking member of Freeman’s Integrated Services department and has been for 15 years. She creates a positive environment wherever she goes and helps to hold students accountable in a way that helps them grow and learn from their actions.
"Her ability to add brightness and positivity to emotional situations. Students she works with have cognitive and emotional weaknesses that sometimes make it difficult to regulate their emotions at time, and Barbara works hard to help create an engaging and stimulating learning environment for students to express themselves in ways they need to."
