YAY MATT THOMPSON! Matt Thompson, a math teacher at Quioccasin Middle School, is today's "Yay of the Day" honoree! Superintendent Amy Cashwell honored him recently at Quioccasin.

"He cares for the physical and educational well-being of students. Mr. Thompson has been helping a student (who adores him) to acclimate to a new medical diagnosis while promoting classroom inclusivity. By providing our student with sugar-free snacks to enjoy with peers in class and always cheerfully accommodating class disruptions by the clinic, Mr. Thompson has helped a potentially scary, life-altering diagnosis to be manageable to this young man. When this student is in the clinic he is frequently complimentary of his favorite teacher and the ways Mr. Thompson has been helpful, so his nurse promised to help acknowledge the way he positively impacts others!"
