YAYWORTHY:

Nominator Cari Tretina said,

"Mr. Townsend spends all of his time creating experiential learning opportunities that show students they are capable of more than what life currently presents. He helps them achieve academic success while teaching them important life skills.

"Mr. Townsend decided to volunteer over his summer break to provide assistance in executing an arts and cultural program for the JRJDC residents. He worked outside of his normal job and schedule to help the residents learn how to express themselves using music and spoken word. He is not just a science teacher -- he is a mentor. JRJDC is lucky to have him!"

Thank you for all you do, Gregory Townsend, to make a positive difference and move HCPS forward!
