YAY MARCELA HAMMER! Marcela Hammer, an instructional assistant at Holladay Elementary School, is today's "Yay of the Day" honoree! Superintendent Amy Cashwell honored her recently.
YAYWORTHY:
Nominator Kaitlyn Pullin said,
"She is like a magician, working behind the scenes in multiple classrooms helping support students learn and grow in the dual language program at Holladay. My own children talked about her constantly, and when I finally met her, I knew right away why they loved her. She has an infectious attitude and a huge smile. As soon as she sees a student, she lights up and engages with them, making them feel seen and special.
"She serves in a critical role in the classroom, floating among numerous grades and classes. She not only helps the students, but teachers and staff as well. When I was substituting in the classroom, she gave me so much encouragement and helped me feel confident in what I was doing. She sees the best in every child and every person. Her positive energy is always radiating"
Thank you for all you do, Marcela Hammer, to make a positive difference and move HCPS forward!
