YAY LAQUANA WIGFALL! LaQuana Wigfall, a FACE family advocate at Harvie Elementary School, is today's "Yay of the Day" honoree! Superintendent Amy Cashwell honored her recently at Harvie.
YAYWORTHY:
Nominator Tonya Holmes, Harvie E.S. principal, said,
"In just a few months, Mrs. Wigfall has demonstrated exceptional initiative, compassion and results-driven leadership. Mrs. Wigfall consistently goes above and beyond her responsibilities, working with empathy, professionalism and an unwavering belief in the potential of every child and family she serves. Her work has strengthened our school community, built meaningful relationships and ensured that our families feel seen, supported and valued.
"Through her tireless outreach and coordination efforts, 62 Harvie families received Thanksgiving dinner boxes, ensuring that students experienced warmth, stability and connection during the holiday season. She also led the organization of our Angel Tree initiative, successfully identifying and supporting 69 students who received gifts and essential items; an effort that truly reflects our values of love, dignity and community care. Mrs. Wigfall’s impact extends far beyond seasonal support. She has secured several new community partnerships, expanding our network of resources and increasing access to services that directly benefit Harvie students. In addition, her collaboration with Feed More has provided weekend food backpacks for several of our most vulnerable students, helping to reduce food insecurity and support student well-being beyond the school day."
Thank you for all you do, LaQuana Wigfall, to make a positive difference and move HCPS forward!
