Henrico Virtual Academy, which serves as Henrico County Public Schools’ only virtual K-12 school, is currently accepting applications for the 2026-27 school year through Jan. 30.

Henrico Virtual Academy offers a virtual education that provides students with flexibility and an individualized environment to help them succeed. Students virtually attend most classes in real-time, and numerous in-person activities are offered throughout the year, including field trips. Henrico Virtual Academy’s students also have access to sports and other VHSL-approved offerings from their home schools.

Applicants can include students already enrolled in Henrico County Public Schools or students who live in Henrico but attend school elsewhere. There are no further prerequisites or requirements to apply. For HCPS’ proof of residency policy, go to https://www.henricoschools.us/page/hcps-proof-of-residency.

Applications can be found at https://hcps.info/ApplyToHVA. Applications are reviewed by HVA staff based on attendance, grades, progress toward graduation and the availability of courses and required services.
