YAY SHAE MELTON! Shae Melton, a bus driver with Pupil Transportation, is today's "Yay of the Day" honoree! Superintendent Amy Cashwell honored her recently.

"Ms. Shae is always pleasant and welcoming when picking up the students. As an educator, I’ve seen many bus drivers, but not all recognize that they are truly the start of a student’s day. Ms. Shae sets a warm, positive tone that helps students begin their mornings with a smile. She is not only kind to the kids but also consistently pleasant and supportive with parents and families. She puts my mind at ease knowing my child is in her care. Thank you, Ms. Shae, for making such a difference each and every day!
"My son recently (within the last week) started riding Ms. Shae's bus and she didn't just pick him up on Day 1, she confirmed his information and was so pleasant and welcoming to him. She recognized he saw a friend and makes sure she points them out to each other each morning to have them paired with a friend. She makes sure each day the kids know where to sit and are settled before pulling off and that is reassuring to see each morning. Also to add a cherry on top, she is always on time for pick-ups."
