YAY BASEM WAHIB! Basem Wahib, the head custodian at Ruby F. Carver Elementary School, is today's "Yay of the Day" honoree! Superintendent Amy Cashwell honored him recently at Carver.
YAYWORTHY:
Principal Kristy Budny said,
"He goes above and beyond each day to ensure the school is maintained, safe and clean. Basem will help out with anything needed. He also serves as another adult in our school who is building relationships with students by greeting them each morning and throughout the day.
"Basem has gone outside of his typical duties to ensure that students get to class if they don't know their way (first week of school with kindergarteners). Basem works efficiently to keep the school maintained and safely running and always fulfills staff assistance requests with moving furniture or responding to walkie calls."
