HENRICO, Va., Sept. 25, 2025 — After hearing from constituents, the Henrico School Board decided at its Thursday work session to eliminate two of the seven scenarios under consideration for possible boundary adjustments and make changes to a third. The Board eliminated a scenario that would have moved approximately 72 students from Ridge Elementary School to the newly rebuilt Jackson Davis Elementary School. The Board also removed a scenario that would have adjusted the middle school feeder pattern for the Broad Meadows neighborhood, moving around 76 students from Holman Middle School to Hungary Creek Middle School. Finally, the Board altered the Quioccasin Middle School scenario to remove a portion of the proposal that would have moved students currently zoned for Pocahontas Middle School to Quioccasin Middle School.
During the work session, Board members thanked the families and community members who took the time to provide feedback on the proposals at the recent town hall meeting, through email and in early responses to Henrico County Public Schools’ online survey.
Maps with more details about the five remaining scenarios have been added to HCPS’ redistricting webpage, and other enhancements will be added this week, including a search tool that shows the effects of potential boundary changes on individual addresses.
