HENRICO, Va., July 11, 2025 — Want to work in the classroom and make a difference? Do you love working with students? Consider joining Henrico County Public Schools as an instructional assistant for the 2025-26 school year. Instructional assistants are the backbone of the classroom! Vacancies are available across the school division and at all levels, from pre-K to high school. HCPS will hold a job fair July 16 from noon-4 p.m. at the division’s Parham Road offices.
Full-time and part-time instructional assistant positions are available. Full-time instructional assistants work 10 months (204 days) per year, and a minimum of 7.25 hours per day. Starting compensation is $30,592 per year. Part-time (temporary) instructional assistants work no more than 29 hours per week and earn $19.70 per hour.
In addition to instructional assistants, HCPS is seeking candidates for facilities staff, bus drivers, substitute bus drivers, bus assistants, school nutrition staff, school security, substitute teachers and classroom teachers.
