Nominator Selene Marsh said:

"Kim has gone above and beyond helping me with a former student who recently came into my care. He attends Glen Allen High School's regional autism program but is living with my family in the Freeman zone. Right before the winter break, Kim was able to set up transportation for him on the Monday after he moved in with us on Sunday. This was an amazing act of kindness and dedication to her department and the students in HCPS.

"Kim has worked miracles with scheduling for this young man. It means the world to me that I am able to put him on the bus every morning and make it to Freeman in time to prepare for my day of teaching. This young man really only knows me but is getting to know the rest of my family (two of whom attend the Freeman IS classroom) so having the opportunity to make this transition a little easier on him means so much to me. He has been through so much loss and change. The little things that Kim has done are actually huge for my family!"

Thank you for all you do, Kim Cooper, to make a positive difference and move HCPS forward!
