Approximately 4,000 seniors from Henrico County Public Schools’ nine comprehensive high schools will celebrate the culmination of their K-12 journeys for a second straight year at the Henrico Sports & Events Center, which will also host completion ceremonies for the school division’s Career and Technical Education students for the first time.
Three ceremonies will be held daily from May 28 to May 30 for graduating seniors at the state-of-the-art venue at 1 All Star Boulevard in Glen Allen. These ceremonies for HCPS’ nine comprehensive high schools will serve as the finale to a full slate of celebrations for the Class of 2025 and students who completed their respective programs at one of three Advanced Career Education Centers. Completion ceremonies for the ACE Centers at Highland Springs, Virginia Randolph and Hermitage are set for May 22 at the Henrico Sports & Events Center, where students across multiple grade levels will be rewarded for finishing hands-on, life-ready curriculums that represent 17 different career clusters and dozens of fulfilling career pathways.
Deep Run High School students from the Class of 2024 celebrate at their graduation ceremony at the Henrico Sports & Events Center last May. Henrico County Public Schools' high school graduations were held at the venue for the first time in 2024.
Graduation season in Henrico officially kicks off when the Henrico Virtual Academy and the Academy at Virginia Randolph hold their ceremonies on May 19 and 20, respectively, at J.R. Tucker High School’s auditorium. In another first, these two events will be livestreamed for friends and family members at henricoschools.us.
On-site parking and seating are limited and require a parking pass and ticket, so carpooling is encouraged. Parking lots will open 90 minutes before the start times, with entry to the Henrico Sports & Events Center beginning 60 minutes before the ceremony. Schools will also offer bus transportation to graduation for all seniors to reduce traffic and ensure they arrive on time.
From seating information to parking and safety details, all the news and information needed to be ready for the big events is available on the 2025 HCPS Graduation Hub, including answers to frequently asked questions.
