YAY DEVIN BARTON! Officer Devin Barton, a school resource officer at Glen Allen High School, is today's "Yay of the Day" honoree! Superintendent Amy Cashwell honored him recently at Glen Allen.

“Officer Barton cares about the Glen Allen community and always does what's right. He is involved in the total school program and values making positive relationships with the staff and students of Glen Allen High. He is quick to offer his help in the classroom, in the cafeteria or other places around the building. It's not uncommon to see him helping by cleaning cafeteria tables, cleaning up a spill or shooting baskets in gym class. He never stops thinking about school safety and takes pride in educating everyone on the importance of making safe choices. We are lucky to have such a dedicated and caring school resource officer at our school.
"Officer Barton is always at our extra-curricular events. He knows students' interests and makes positive connections on the daily. He notices the details and makes a point to connect with all students."
