Elementary Summer Academy enrichment course registration begins Monday, March 17 and ends April 18 at 4 p.m. Two enrichment locations will offer classes on a first-come, first-served basis. All HCPS elementary schools have been assigned to one of the two enrichment sites to provide equal opportunities for access to enrichment classes. Elementary Summer Academy
Plans for Summer Academy 2025 are well underway! Summer Academy 2025 offers a unique opportunity for our currently enrolled Pre-K to rising 5th-grade students. For HCPS families, selected learners can receive literacy, mathematics, and social-emotional learning interventions at no cost. Virtual learning will be offered to students currently enrolled in Henrico Virtual Academy. Reading and math activities will include whole-class instruction and small-group instruction to meet students’ individual needs. HCPS will also offer enrichment opportunities to all current HCPS elementary students on a first-come, first serve basis for students not receiving the intervention. Breakfast and lunch will be served, and transportation from each elementary school will be provided.
Elementary Summer Academy learning is Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. from June 9-July 17. Students can attend the entire six weeks or a three-week session from June 30-July 17.

ARTS INSTITUTE - This exciting class will allow students to participate in various activities in which they will create, explore, and aexpress themselves while learning more about the arts. Students will be grouped by grade levels (rising grade 1, rising grade 2, and rising grades 3 and 4) and will attend an art, music, and movement class each day. ELIGIBLE PARTICIPANTS: Rising Grades 1-4 BRIDGE BUILDING - Students will work in teams during this hands-on class to develop a company and build bridges!
