  • Facilitated training for staff equity teams in each elementary, middle, and high school to support the professional learning efforts around culturally responsive practices.

  • All HCPS staff participate in annual, ongoing training to support their ability to provide culturally responsive social-emotional learning services to students. Strong Teens beginning in 2022-23.) These trainings are offered virtually, in-person and in hybrid format and are provided by central and school level staff.

  • All HCPS staff complete annual SafeSchools training on Identifying, Understanding and Responding to Disruptive Behaviors; Cultural Competence and Racial Bias; and Diversity Awareness. Additionally, 100% of new faculty completed training on CREM

  • Student Support and Wellness staff provide turn-key training and resources to support social-emotional learning and community rebuilding to all building leaders during Leadership and principal meetings throughout the year, including resources for “Pressing the RESET Button.”

  • Professional learning opportunities and resources are provided via a Schoology Group for Social-Emotional Learning throughout the year to support teachers' growth in this area.
