Develop a sustainable plan to provide ongoing training and resources in trauma-informed care, conflict management and relationship restoration.

Evidence 2020 – 2021
Began implementation of Trauma-Informed Care districtwide. This means that adults in the school community are prepared to recognize and respond to students who have been impacted by traumatic stress.
Evidence 2021 – 2022:
Approximately 400 HCPS employees have been trained in the use of Restorative Practices which offer an alternative to traditional disciplinary actions for misbehavior.
Expanded restorative practices training to include culturally responsive best practices and provided a supporting guidance manual for staff seeking to implement the practice.
100% of new HCPS school faculty complete conflict resolution training as well as restraint & seclusion training.
