Change to our Bell Schedule - Hawk Huddle
After reviewing feedback from students, staff, and families, we have altered our bell schedule to allow for students to participate in our Hawk Huddle. During Hawk Huddle, students will get fresh air outside, socialize with peers, and participate in physical activity - all of which are proven means to increase socio-emotional wellness.
Each grade level will have a scheduled 15-minute huddle directly after lunch. Teachers and staff will supervise the students on our bus loop/outdoor basketball courts. The HCPS Code of Conduct is in effect at all times, and we will routinely teach and remind students of behavior expectations. Huddle will not occur on days our schedule is altered (half-days, pep rallies, delays, etc.) or when weather conditions are not conducive to having students outside.
