Our teachers started our second day of work week learning about the roadmap for student success! ✅ We can’t wait to continue our journey on creating not only academic achievement, but also on preparing students for life! 🎓📚 🫶🏼









👀 We spotted some jaguars who are ready to start the 2025 - 2026 school year at our popsicle with Mrs. Vandeweghe and Mr. Winecoff!!! 🤗


✨🎟️ Carnival vibes strong in 4th! 🎟️✨ We had a series of indoor games for students to play for a prize! Were they a luck duck and got an even number? Or did they find the special lollipop? Students loved the addition of the claw machine too!! We played outside with various outdoor games! 🎯 We had corn hole, ball toss, bucket ball, tic tac toe, and ring toss! What a blast!! 💥

🌟 SUPERSTARS ALERT! 🌟 Thank you so much to Mrs. Hines, Ms. Perkins, and Ms. Keck for taking on the task of tie dying T-shirts for the grade levels for field day! 😍 We can’t wait to see all the ❤️💚💛💙 next Friday!



Who says you can’t learn about pollination using Cheetos!? 🧡🌻 Ms Perkins’ 4th graders used cheetos to discuss how pollination works in flowers. Look at those big 😃!!











Today Mrs. Hines class took on the James River! Big shout out to James River Association for putting on one of the highlights of 4th grade! We learned what a healthy river has. We went on a nature hike to observe native and invasive species. We also tested the water for the amount of oxygen is in the river for the fish to breathe. Lastly, we conducted an experiment to determine how much sediment is in the water. What a fun day had by all! 🐟 ☀️ 🌳






We had our last open door open hearts this past Friday! 💙 Thank you @henricopolice for making the first Friday of every month so special!! 🫶🏼










4th graders became BOTANISTS today! We learned about the parts of a plant and flower. We dissected a flower and learned what parts are used during the reproductive process! 🌸🐝🦋






These AWESOME 1st graders had the best spring day at Maymont during their field trip earlier this month! 🌺 They learned about animal needs and habitats. 🏠 Special shoutout to the wonderful chaperones and students that made this one of the best days! ☀️







📣 Here here! 📣 4th Grade listened to the famous speech Patrick Henry said at St.John’s Church! Then we ventured to the Capitol. We learned about the architecture of the building and influential people in Virginia with engaging statues.
