Grade IB Families! Please RSVP no later than Friday 4/25 at 12:00 pm for your child to attend the following IB 8th Grade Events. For planning purposes we may not be able to accommodate students that RSVP after 4/25:
RSVP for IB 8th Grade Celebration: Thursday May 15-3rd Annual IB 8th Grade Celebration (6:00 pm-8:00 pm): It will take place at the Oak Avenue Complex (15 S Oak Ave, Highland Springs, VA 23075). Students will have a chance to walk across the stage, receive a Certificate of Participation, hear from some speakers, and enjoy a reception with light refreshments after the ceremony. All students will be expected to be in business casual attire and to arrive by 5:20 pm to get seated. Capacity restrictions can accommodate students to bring up to four guests.
RSVP for Medieval Times: Thursday May 22-IB 8th Grade Field Trip (all day): Trip to Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament (Hanover, MD) and the Natural History Museum (Washington, D.C). Cost will be about $100 which includes charter bus transportation to and from venue, ticket to Medieval Times show, chicken lunch at Medieval Times, and light snacks for the bus ride. Cost details are being finalized and will be confirmed in the coming days. Please note the possibility that students who have not maintained good standing in the IB program this school year due to grades and/or behavior concerns may not be able to participate in the field trip.
