THE THEME FOR 2025-2026

MISSION imPOSSIBLE

ACADEMICS

Eagles,

The first quarter of the school year is quickly drawing to a close, and the Second Quarter will officially begin on Monday, October 27th!

We are so proud of the progress our students have made, and we are excited to carry this momentum into the next quarter. To ensure continued success, we need your help in reinforcing a few key areas with your student:

Stay Focused in Class: Encouraging your student to be actively engaged and focused during every class period is vital for deep learning.

Charged Laptops are Essential: Please remind your student to bring their fully charged laptop to school every day. This is a crucial tool for both in-class instruction and completing assignments.

Complete All Assignments: Timely completion of all classwork, homework, and projects is essential for mastering the curriculum and earning proficient grades.

Mission Possible: Success in Every Class

This year, our academic program is guided by the theme "Mission Possible," and we truly mean it. We are committed to pushing the needle to proficiency in every content area for every student. Student success is our mission, and the staff at Elko Middle School has wholeheartedly accepted this challenge.

If your student needs help: They should immediately reach out to their teacher with questions or concerns about the material.

If you, as a parent, need assistance: Please reach out to the specific teacher for any class where your student is struggling. Most teachers are able to answer emails faster than returning phone calls. You can easily set up an appointment to meet or speak with a teacher via email to discuss a plan for your student's success.

Upcoming Parent-Teacher Conferences - November 4th

As a reminder, Parent-Teacher Conferences will take place on Wednesday, November 4th. Each teacher has sent out links for scheduling appointments on that day. Please reference your email or text messages for those specific links.

Please be mindful that each time slot is assigned to a parent/guardian. We kindly ask that you keep to the time you are assigned. If you need a more in-depth follow-up discussion with the teacher, please use email to set up a separate appointment for a later date.

Thank you for your ongoing support as we partner to make this a successful school year!

Go Eagles!
