Elementary Teaching and Learning Department
The Elementary Teaching and Learning Department is responsible for leading, supporting, and monitoring high-quality curriculum, instruction, assessment, and professional learning across the district. Their overarching mission is to ensure all students have equitable access to rigorous, engaging, and relevant learning experiences.
Our team includes content and department specialists, coordinators, and coaches who partner with schools to design, implement, and scale innovative instructional practices that provide the foundational knowledge and skills every student needs to be successful. The department’s work is rooted in the HCPS Instructional Model.
