Carter Jones with Glen Allen High School

YAY CARTER JONES! Carter Jones, an instructional assistant at Glen Allen High School, is today's Yay of the Day honoree! Superintendent Amy Cashwell honored him recently!

YAYWORTHY:

Nominator Maggie Rhodes said,

"Carter Jones is the kind of person who makes our entire school community better simply by showing up and giving his all each day. He treats our students with dignity, assumes competence, challenges them to grow, and cares for them far beyond the expectations of his role. His kindness extends throughout our building, where he is a trusted colleague, dependable leader, and friend who is always looking for ways to support others and bring people together. Carter spends every day making students and staff feel seen, valued, and cared for, and it is time for us to make sure he knows just how valued he is, too."

Nominator Midge Costello said,

"He is a delight to work with and learn from, for staff and students alike. He comes in willing to do hard things for students day in and day out, all while keeping a positive attitude. He encourages all of us to strive to meet his standard of empathy and kindness everyday."

Thank you for all you do, Carter, to make a positive difference and move HCPS forward!
